Massachusetts Metaphysical College opens
May 12, 1882
Founded by Mary Baker Eddy, it is located initially in her home at 569 Columbus Avenue. Incorporated on January 31, 1881, it subsequently moves next door to 571 Columbus Avenue. The college closes in 1889, but subsequently reopens as an auxiliary of the Church of Christ, Scientist.
